John Moore News

The Bruins have signed John Moore to a five-year deal worth $13.75M ($2.75M AAV).

Moore had his best offensive seasons during his three years in New Jersey, averaging eight goals and 12 assists (20 points) per season. However, a 46.5 CF% and -1.1 relative Corsi in those seasons, suggests that the Bruins may regret a five-year term in a few seasons. Regardless, Moore is a reasonable third-pairing defenseman that increases the Bruins’ D-depth.

Moore will be back in the Devils lineup on Tuesday.

Moore was a healthy scratch vs. the Bruins on Sunday but will replace Mirco Mueller tonight in Philadelphia. Moore was given the second night of a back-to-back off, but he will likely be back playing big minutes tonight. Moore has six goals and eight assists (14 points) while averaging 19:56 TOI/GM in 54 games this year.

Moore (concussion) will return to the Devils’ lineup on Sunday.

Moore has been sidelined by a concussion since December 31st, but is set to get back in the lineup vs. the Sharks this afternoon. Moore has been a nice source of offence on the Devils’ blueline having recorded five goals and eight assists (13 points) in 37 games this season. Karl Stollery will come out of the lineup for Moore.

The Coyotes have acquired John Moore, Anthony Duclair, a 2016 1st round pick and a 2015 2nd round pick from the Rangers for Keith Yandle, Chris Summers and a 2015 4th round pick.

Moore has shuffled in and out of the Rangers lineup with Matt Hunwick this season. In 38 games, Moore has scored once with five assists and a plus-7 rating. He should get a full-time role in Arizona.
