Benn played 21:42 TOI on Wednesday but will be a healthy scratch tonight, with David Schlemko replacing him on the blueline. Benn has picked up just two assists in his last 27 games.
Benn is expected to draw back into the Canadiens lineup on Thursday.

Benn will make his Canadiens' debut on Tuesday.
A day after being acquired from the Dallas Stars, Benn will make his Montreal debut tonight vs. the Blue Jackets. Benn is a solid two-way defenseman, but comes in with just 15 points (2G / 13A) in 58 games this season. Expect him to serve a big role on the Canadiens’ penalty kill—he averaged 2:30 TOI per game with Dallas.
The Canadiens have acquired Jordie Benn from the Stars for Greg Pateryn and a 2017 fourth round pick.
Benn has registered two goals and 13 assists (15 points) in 58 games with the Canadiens. Greg Pateryn has expressed his displeasure with the Canadiens because he wasn’t getting any playing time, so they’ve moved him and a draft pick for Benn.

The Stars have signed Jordie Benn to a three-year extension worth $3.3M ($1.1 AAV).
Unlike his brother Jamie, Jordie Benn is not known for his offence. The 28-year-old blueliner had just three goals and nine assists (12 points) in 64 games with the Stars in 2015-16. Carrying just a $1.1M cap-hit, the Stars have a solid third pairing defenseman for next to nothing.
Benn (lower-body) will miss the next two games.
Benn has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury and will remain sidelined for at least two more contests. With Benn out, Patrick Nemeth will remain on the Stars’ blueline.
Benn (undisclosed) will miss 1-2 weeks.
