Honka has been in the lineup for the last three games and will be replaced by Connor Carrick on Thursday.

Honka was in the lineup for the last two games, picking up one assist and seven shots while averaging 17:05 TOI/gm but will be replaced by Joel Hanley on Tuesday.

Honka has been out of the lineup for the last two games, but will replace Joel Hanley in Colorado. Honka is known as an offensive-defenseman, but has just three assists and 25 shots while averaging 14:18 TOI/gm in 18 games this season.

Honka will come out of the Stars lineup tonight due to an illness. With Honka out, the Stars will go back to 12 forwards and six defensemen with Brett Ritchie suiting up.

The Stars picked up Connor Carrick in a trade with the Maple Leafs and he will play over Honka in the Stars season opener. Honka has had a hard time getting his NHL career on track, picking just nine points (2G / 7A) in 58 games.

Honka has been a healthy scratch for the last eight games but it looks like he will replace Esa Lindell (illness) on the blueline tonight. Honka, who has had nice AHL numbers, has just four points (1G / 3A) in 30 gmaes this season.


Honka played just 6:06 TOI before leaving last night’s game in Chicago with an upper-body injury. Honka did not return to the game and is questionable for Friday’s game vs. the Penguins. Head coach Ken Hitchcock already said that Dillon Heatherington will play tonight, so it seems highly unlikely that Honka will play.

Honka has been a healthy scratch for the last three games, but will draw back in tonight in New York. There’s no word on who Honka will replace but he is searching for his first on the 2017-18 season. Expect Honka to play modest minutes with PP exposure.



Honka failed to record a point in eight games with Texas, but has been called back up to the Stars, where he had no points and a minus-4 rating in six games earlier this season. There’s no word whether or not he will replace anyone on the blueline in Tuesday’s game.

Honka had some tough games to start the season and has served as a healthy scratch for the last three games, so the Stars will send him to Texas so he can play. Honka failed to record a point in six games this season, but returns to the AHL where he amassed 31 points (7G / 24A) in 50 contests.

Honka appeared in the las four games, failing to record a point while averaging 15:35 TOI. Honka will be replaced by Jamie Oleksiak vs. the Coyotes.

Honka sat as a healthy scratch in the first two games of the season, but will replace Dan Hamhuis (groin) in the lineup on Tuesday. Honka spent most of last season with Texas (AHL), where he had 31 points (7G / 24A) in 50 games but he also added five points (1G / 4A) in 16 NHL games.

Honka, 21, had three assists in eight games with the Stars earlier this season. The 2014 No.14 pick is offensively gifted and comes back to the Stars with 21 points (5G / 16A) in 30 games with Texas. He has been recalled to replace Johnny Oduya, who has been placed on IR.

Honka was injured on Tuesday and is expected to miss a few games with an arm injury. The Stars have a number of defenseman already on the roster, so replacing Honka for a few games shouldn’t be difficult.

Honka, 20, was the 14th overall pick in 2014 and tonight he will make his NHL debut. Honka has 12 points (3G / 9A) in 16 games with Texas this season. Honka will skate on the top-pair with Dan Hamhuis and will replace John Klingberg on the top power-play unit.
