Parssinen appeared in 14 games with the Rangers this season, scoring three points (2G / 1A), but failed to make a lasting impact and was ultimately placed on waivers. The 24-year-old Parssinen had a surprising rookie season with the Nashville Predators in 2022-23, scoring an impressive 25 points (6G / 19A) in 45 games, but has not maintained that success in three seasons since, scoring only 31 points (16G / 15A) in 105 games.


Adam Edstrom draws back into New York's lineup on Thursday against Colorado, resulting in Parssinen returning to the sidelines as a healthy scratch. The 23-year-old forward had five points (2G / 3A) in 11 games with New York and has 53 points (20G / 33A) in 137 career contests.

Parssinen will look to provide a spark on Thursday for the tail-end of New York's back-to-back. Brennan Othmann will sit in his place.

Brennan Othmann will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday against the Calgary Flames, allowing Parssinen to re-enter the lineup. The 24-year-old Parssinen has only played four games with the Rangers this season, averaging 10:35 time-on-ice and scoring zero points.




Parssinen will slot in for Gustav Nyquist, who was a late scratch due to an illness. Parssinen has two goals and three assists in 14 games this season.


Luke Evangelista will draw back into the lineup on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Flyers, resulting in Parssinen being a healthy scratch. The 23-year-old Parssinen is averaging 12:24 time-on-ice and has five points (2G / 3A) in 13 games this season.
