Czuczman is in his third year with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and has one goal and seven assists (eight points) in 21 games. He has not played in the NHL since 2013-14 when he had two assists in 13 games. He'll be the Penguins' seventh defenseman with Justin Schultz out week-to-week.

Czuczman spent all of last season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL), where he was second among defensemen with 21 points (4G / 17A) in 65 games. The 28-year-old has just 13 games of NHL experience and they all came in 2014 with the Islanders.


Kzuczman, 23, just wrapped up his season at Lake Superior State University and will line up on the Islanders blueline alongside Travis Hamonic tonight. He had 10 goals and 11 assists (21 points) in 36 games with LSSU this season.
