Slaggert was the third-round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft and earned himself a two-year, entry-level contract on Tuesday. The 21-year-old forward has spent the last four seasons playing collegiate hockey with Notre Dame and scored 31 points (20G / 11A) in 36 games this season.
