The Flames are still without Kiprusoff who is expected to miss another week at least. Joey MacDonald appears to be Calgary's #1 for the time-being.

Irving's 2-1-1 record is a bit of an anomaly when you look at his 3.33 GAA and .883 SV%. Hopefully you weren't forced to go along for the ride.
Irving recorded his second win of the year last night in a 7-4 win over the Dallas Stars. Irving played well although allowing one soft goal and should continue to see the majority of the starts as long as Kiprusoff is on the shelf. He has a tough match-up vs. the Blues, look elsewhere.
Irving has posted a 1-1-1 record since Kipper went down with a knee injury. The injury appears to be extensive so Irving should continue to get starts. His number have not been great (2.62 GAA and .900 SV%) so he should be a spot starter at best. Don't play him against the top teams in the West. The Stars are fresh off of a 4-1 walloping of the Oilers and sit in a tie for 6th so use your judgement here.

Irving has been OK in his 2 starts since Kiprusoff went down with an injury. He has allowed 8 goals on 60 shots in the two starts, one of which he recorded a win against Columbus. He has a tougher match-up tonight against the Minnesota Wild.
If you were banking on Irving vs. Columbus, you did OK. We don't recommend you roll the dice vs. Vancouver unless you are absolutely desperate.
Since Kiprusoff is hurt Irving will be the starter for the time being. Kiprusoff isn't expected to miss a lot of time so Irving doesn't have a lot of fantasy value. Lucky for him his first start of the season will come against the Blue Jackets.
Barring an injury to Miikka Kiprusoff, Irving will stay in the minors for the rest of the season.
Irving has never faced the Oilers in his NHL career.

Even though Irving only won one of his five starts, he played relatively serviceable in three of those five. Expect him to start again this week.
Irving heads down to the AHL, where he will get more seasoning.
Irving has never faced the Coyotes.
Irving should get some more looks in back-to-back contests over the next week.
Irving did nothing to hurt his case as a legitimate prospect. Having said that, he has no fantasy hockey value while in the minors.
