Laferriere spent the 2023-24 season with the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL) and has signed a one-year, two-way contract extension to remain with the Blues next season. The 23-year-old was St.Louis' 2018 sixth-round pick (169th overall) and had seven goals and 25 points in 68 games in his third AHL season with Springfield last year.

Laferriere had nine goals, 17 assists, 22 PIMs and a +3 plus/minus through 50 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL) and has signed a one-year, two-way contract extension with St. Louis into the 2023-24 season.

Laferriere was a sixth-round draft pick in 2018 and finished fifth on Cape Breton (QMJHL) with 48 points (20G / 28A) despite playing just 40 of the 63 games. The 19-year-old has one more year of junior eligibility but will report to San Antonio (AHL) if he turns pro.
