Hoffman missed Tuesday’s game in New Jersey with a groin injury that he suffered on Sunday. Hoffman is expected to miss Thursday’s game, but monitor his status leading up to the Senators’ back-to-back games on Monday and Tuesday.

Hoffman left near the end of the first period and never returned. The winger played just 5:46 TOI before retiring to the dressing room and his status for Tuesday’s game remains unclear. The Senators are already without Bobby Ryan for an extended period of time and they also lost Mark Stone and Tommy Wingels last night.

Hoffman missed Tuesday’s game vs. the Capitals with an illness, but is expected to play vs. the Flames tonight. Hoffman is tied for the team lead with 17 goals and his 34 points is good for third, behind only Erik Karlssson and Mark Stone.

Hoffman missed the Senators morning skate because of the flu and is listed as a game-time decision. Monitor Hoffman's status during warmups, which get underway at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Hoffman served his two-game suspension over the weekend and will return to the lineup tonight in Chicago. Hoffman is on-pace for another 25-plus goal, 30-plus assist season and should be activated in all formats. Expect Hoffman to reclaim his spot on the top line with Derick Brassard and Mark Stone.

Hoffman will miss both games of the Senators’ back-to-back this weekend after being suspended for his cross-check to the back of Couturess head/neck. With Hoffman out, Zack Smith will move up the lineup and Casey Bailey has been recalled from Binghamton (AHL).

Hoffman has missed the last two games, but is expected to play Tuesday in Montreal. Hoffman skated on the third line on Monday, so look for him to start tomorrow’s game with Derick Brassard and Tom Pyatt. He has seven points (3G / 4A) in 16 games this season.

Hoffman took part in the Senators’ optional morning skate, but he remains doubtful to play vs. the Panthers. With Hoffman likely out, Max McCormick will remain in the lineup for the second straight game.

Hoffman missed the morning skate and will not play Thursday vs. the Predators. With Hoffman out, the Senators recalled Max McCormick from Binghamton and he will replace Hoffman in the lineup tonight.

Hoffman, 26, enjoyed a breakout year in 2014-15 and followed it up with an even more impressive 2015-16 campaign, scoring 29 goals and 30 assists (59 points) in 78 games. Hoffman has led the Senators in goals in both of those seasons and will look to do the same in 2016-17 on their top line, likely alongside the usual suspects—Kyle Turris and Mark Stone.

Despite leaving Monday’s game after crashing into the net , Hoffman will play tonight vs. the Devils. Hoffman will skate on a line with Zack Smith and Mark Stone.

Hoffman suffered a neck injury Monday, but he is on the ice for warmups, so it doesn’t look like he will miss any time. Expect an update about five minutes before puck drop.

Hoffman skated this morning, which could be a good sign that he plays tonight vs. the Devils, but we will not know until pregame. If Hoffman can’t play, Shane Prince is expected to be back in the lineup. Monitor his status during pregame warmups.
