Beaulieu is right on schedule with the original four-week timetable. He missed the first 15 games with an upper-body injury but he will likely replace Tucker Poolman, who is dealing with an upper-body injury of his own. Beaulieu had five assists in 18 games with the Jets after coming over from the Sabres.

The Jets have acquired Nathan Beaulieu from the Sabres for a sixth-round pick.

Beaulieu has been a healthy scratch for half of the Sabres games this season and the Jets add him with the hopes that he can re-discover his game from his days in Montreal. Beaulieu could see some playing time while Josh Morrissey is ailing after suffering an upper-body injury on Monday.
