Beaulieu is expected to be a healthy scratch on Saturday with Casey Nelson being re-inserted into the lineup. It’s a bit of a surprising decision with Beaulieu recording one goal and two assist in his last three games.

Beaulieu played just 12:00 TOI on Thursday and will not play Saturday because of an undisclosed injury. Casey Nelson will draw into the Sabres lineup for Beaulieu.



Beaulieu, who has been held pointless in his last six games and was a healthy scratch in Ottawa on Thursday, will replace Justin Falk in the lineup on Saturday.



Beaulieu missed the last two games with an illness but will return tonight in Calgary. Beaulieu will replace Josh Gorges, who is sidelined with an illness of his own. Beaulieu has had a tough season, collecting just four points (1G / 3A) in 32 games.

Beaulieu was not on the ice for Sabres’ practice on Wednesday and is questionable for Thursday’s game in New York. The Sabres recalled Casey Nelson from Rochester (AHL) to take Beaulieu’s spot if he can’t play tomorrow.



Beaulieu left Saturday’s game in Pittsburgh early and likely will not play Tuesday in Colorado. Beaulieu has recorded just three assists in 20 games this season.

Beaulieu has missed the last seven games with an upper-body injury, but will return tonight vs. the Panthers. Beaulieu is expected to skate on the third pairing with Viktor Antipin and should see some power-play time. He has just two assists in eight games so far this season.
