Patrice Bergeron News

Bergeron (upper-body) will return to the Bruins lineup on Thursday.

Bergeron missed three games with an upper-body injury but is set to play Thursday against the Islanders. With Brad Marchand still suspended, Bergeron will centre a line with Taylor Hall and David Pastrnak. Bergeron has scored just one goal in his last 16 goals but has collected 10 assists over that span.

Bergeron (upper-body) will not play Thursday vs. the Hurricanes.

Bergeron suffered an upper-body injury in Tuesday's loss to the Penguins and will miss at least one game. This is a huge blow for the Bruins, who will most likely also be without Brad Marchand due to a suspension. Without Bergeron or Marchand, Charlie Coyle and Jake DeBrusk moved up into the top-6 in Wednesday's practice.

Bergeron has been added to the COVID-19 protocol list.

Bergeron is the third Bruins player to enter COVID-19 protocol in the last 24 hours, joining Brad Marchand and Craig Smith. If the Bruins list doesn't continue to grow and their games remain scheduled, missing half of their top-6 is obviously going to be an issue.

Bergeron (rest) will not play on Tuesday.

Bergeron is one of 16 regulars who will not be in the Bruins lineup on Tuesday. The Bruins will need to recall multiple players from their taxi squad/AHL to fill out their lineup. Jack Studnicka is one of the players that is expected to draw in and replace Bergeron at centre.

Bergeron (lower-body) will be back in the Bruins lineup on Monday.

Bergeron has missed the last seven games with a lower-body injury but will play Monday in Ottawa. Bergeron, who has 24 points (8G / 16A) in 21 games this season, will be back on the top line (with Marchand and Pastrnak) and top power-play unit.

Bergeron (lower-body) will not play on Thursday; expected to practice on Friday.

Everything remains pretty quiet on the Bergeron injury front, but head coach Bruce Cassidy is hopeful he'll be back at practice on Friday. If that's the case, it would open the door for a possible return to the lineup Saturday vs. the Avalanche.

Bergeron (lower-body) will miss at least two games.

Bergeron's lower-body issue continues to linger and will cost him at least two more games. The injury didn't seem to slow him down at all, as he picked up five assists and seven shots in two games since returning from a two-game absence. David Krejci will be back on the top line and Charlie Coyle will be back on PP1 with Bergeron out.

Bergeron (lower-body) will travel to Toronto for Saturday's game.

Bergeron played 21:25 TOI in the Bruins shootout loss to the Lightning on Thursday, so he must have played through a lower-body issue. The Bruins No.1 centre will accompany the team to Toronto and anticipates playing against the Maple Leafs. He has had a terrific start to the season, scoring two goals with five assists (seven points) in seven games.

Bergeron (ribs) will be back in the Bruins lineup on Saturday.

Bergeron has been out since November 16th but will draw back into the lineup Saturday afternoon vs. the Predators. Bergeron’s return will shuffle the Bruins’ top-6 a bit and Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson will be a healthy scratch. Bergeron has nine goals and 17 assists (26 points) in 19 games this season.

Bergeron has been out since November 16th but he could return Saturday vs. the Predators. Bergeron, who had 26 points (9G / 17A) in 19 games before getting hurt, centred the top line with Brad Marchand and Danton Heinen on his wings in Friday’s practice.
