Wotherspoon had two goals, seven assists, 12 PIMs and a +10 plus/minus with the Utica Comets (AHL). The 29-year-old defenseman will be looking to add to his five assists in 30 games that he has picked up in his previous four NHL seasons.

LaDue is a depth signing for the Islanders, who will start the 2021-22 season in the AHL. He has 18 points (5G / 13A) in 69 career NHL games with the Kings, who drafted him in the sixth-round in 2012.

LaDue was called up from the AHL on Wednesday with Alec Martinez going on IR and will make his season debut on Saturday. LaDue has six points (1G / 5A) in 18 AHL games this season.

LaDue has been a healthy scratch for the last four games, but is expected to replace Derek Forbort in the lineup on Thursday. LaDue has one goal while averaging 11:45 TOI/GM in his first four games of the season.

LaDue played 22 games with the Kings last season but has yet to appear in an NHL game this year. The 25-year-old defenseman has picked up 17 points (8G / 9A) in 34 games with Ontario and will be looking to pick up his first career NHL goal if he draws into the Kings lineup for his season debut this week.
