The Kings have recalled Paul LaDue from Ontario (AHL).

LaDue, 25, has been recalled because Alec Martinez was moved to IR this afternoon. LaDue split his time between Ontario and Los Angeles last season, picking up eight assists in his first 22 NHL games. Despite the call-up, he will be a healthy scratch on opening night.

The Kings have recalled Paul LaDue from Ontario (AHL).

LaDue was sent down during the Kings bye week and returns with the Kings back in action on Thursday. LaDue had one assist while averaging 15:33 TOI in his first two career NHL games. He has 18 points (6G / 12A) in 37 games with Ontario.

LaDue is expected to make his NHL debut on Tuesday.

LaDue, 24, was called-up on February 1st and is expected to draw in tonight vs. the Lightning. The 2012 sixth round pick had six goals and 12 assists (18 points) in 36 games with Ontario (AHL) at the time of his call-up.

LaDue, 24, was a sixth round pick (181st overall) in 2012 and this is his first career NHL call-up. LaDue has registered six goals and 12 assists (18 points) in 36 games with Ontario this season and could make his debut on Wednesday night.

The Flames re-signed Tyler Wotherspoon to a one-year deal.

Wotherspoon, 23, spent the majority of last season with Stockton (AHL), where he had 10 points (2G / 8A) in 53 games, but also appeared in 11 games with Calgary. Wotherspoon will likely start the 2016-17 campaign with Stockton, but will be one of the first defensemen recalled.

Wotherspoon will be a healthy scratch in Game 3.

Wotherspoon has failed to record a point and has been limited to just 6:39 TOI/GP in six playoff games so far. The 22-year-old will take a seat with the more experience Rapheal Diaz getting back into the lineup after missing the last 12 games with a lower-body injury.

The Flames have recalled Tyler Wotherspoon from Adirondack (AHL).

Wotherspoon, 21, has been recalled to serve as the Flames seventh defenseman with Ladislav Smid going on IR. Wotherspoon has two goals and 13 assists (15 points) in 38 games AHL games. He had four assists in 14 games with the Flames last season .

Wotherspoon (upper-body) will play Wednesday vs. Anaheim.

Wotherspoon left Monday's game with an upper-body injury and did not return, however he is on the ice this morning an will play vs. the Ducks tonight. He is a big-boy at 6-foot-2, 203 lbs. and has recorded one assist in his first three NHL games since being recalled last week.
