Datsyuk (illness) skated this morning; expected to play in Columbus.

Datsyuk was a late scratch form Sunday’s game in Chicago, but practiced on Monday and took part in today’s morning skate, so look for him to be in the lineup in Columbus. Datsyuk has just one goal in his last six games, but remains a high-end centre option.

Datsyuk (illness) will not play on Sunday.

Because the Red Wings didn’t have a morning skate, the news on Datsyuk’s illness came late. With Datsyuk out, Dylan Larkin will move to the top-line and Teemu Pulkkinen will draw into the lineup. Datsyuk is day-to-day and should return be able to return on Tuesday in Columbus.

Datsyuk is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Datsyuk missed five games with a lower-body injury, but played in the last two games prior to last night. He did not make it out for pre-game warmups because he had a “flare up” with the injury and was replaced by Daniel Cleary. Consider him day-to-day and monitor his status prior to Thursday’s game.

Datsyuk (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Saturday.

Datsyuk has missed the last five games, but it looks like he will get back into the lineup this afternoon vs. Tampa Bay. The Red Wings have gone 1-3-1 without Datsyuk over this stretch. Getting his 58 points (23G / 35A) back in the lineup will be huge, especially with Riley Sheahan out.

Datsyuk (lower-body) looks like he will return on Saturday.

Datsyuk participated in the Red Wings practice on Friday and took part in line rushes with Darren Helm and Tomas Tatar, which is a great sign that he will be available tomorrow vs. the Lightning. The Red Wings will not hold a morning skate, so monitor his status a few hours prior to game-time and during warmups.
