Rinne was on the ice for the Predators game day skate and took shots for the first time since spraining his knee on January 13th. He is two and a half weeks into a 3-5 week timeline, which is a good sign that Rinne should return at the front-end of his original timetable.

Rinne has been out since January 15th, but is nearly two weeks into a 3-5 week timetable. Yesterday he skated prior to the team, which is a good sign that he is on track in his recovery. Look for him to skate alone for a few days, before he joins the team for practice.

Rinne will be out 3-5 weeks with a sprained knee.

The Predators announced this morning that Rinne would miss at least the next three games and then be re-evaluated, but Rinne met with the doctor this morning and he determined the knee sprain will keep him out for 3-5 weeks. If he misses exactly three weeks from today, he will miss eight games. This is a huge blow to the Predators, but they dealt with it OK last season. They will turn to Carter Hutton and Marek Mazanec as their goalie tandem.
