Rinne left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Rinne, who leads the NHL in wins, left late in the third period after he slid feet first into the boards. He was attended to by trainers, but was able to skate off under his own power. Rinne is likely the early candidate for the Vezina Trophy, so if he misses anytime, it is a huge loss for the Predators. Rinne gave up two goals on 28 shots in the Predators win over the Blues on Tuesday. Rinne has won five of his last six starts while posting a 2.42 GAA and .921 SV%. He will make his second start against the Kings this season—he made 18 saves in a 4-3 shootout win in November.

Rinne surrendered four goals on 42 shots in the Predators 5-4 shootout loss to the Blackhawks last night. Despite the heavy workload, coach Laviolette will go back to him tonight vs. St. Louis. Rinne is a fantasy darling because he is playing great and he is on-pace to start 72 of 82 games this season.

Rinne is coming off of a 26-save performance in Saturday’s 4-1 win over the Flyers. He has won four straight and leads the league with 23 wins.

Rinne allowed gave up five goals on 27 shots but still walked away with the win on Saturday vs. the Wild. It wasn’t pretty, but it was enough to get the W. Rinne has won four of his last five with one shutout, 1.77 GAA and .941 SV%. He stopped 21 shots in a 2-1 win in his first start vs. Columbus.
