The Flyers have signed Ray Emery for the remainder of the season.

The Flyers have six games left in the regular season and Emery will likely be with the team as Steve Mason’s backup goalie, as long as he clears waivers. Emery is not eligible to play in the playoffs, but he is goaltending insurance with Michal Neuvirth still sidelined.

The Lightning have signed Ray Emery to a professional tryout (PTO).

With Andrei Vasilevskiy going down for 2-3 months because of a blood clot, the Lightning have brought Emery in to potentially back Ben Bishop up until Vasilevskiy is ready to return. If Emery isn’t signed to the team, look for Kristers Gudlevskis to become the backup.
