Emery allowed five goals on 28 shots in a loss to the Blue Jackets on December 21. He has had a tough season going 3-7-0 with a 3.23 GAA and .885 SV% in 10 starts. He has a solid matchup vs. the Flames tonight, but remains a risky start given his shaky season.

Emery will be in goal Wednesday against the Blackhawks as the Flyers close out a 12-day, six-game road trip.

Emery will face the team he won a Stanley Cup with last season. He has not been as good as he was last year (17-1-0 / 1.94 GAA / .922 SV%) but he is also not playing behind the same caliber of team. Emery is in a backup role once again and has got out to a 3-5-0, 2.57 GAA and .908 start to the season. Although it is his former team and he might be playing a little bit harder against them… It is still a terrible matchup.

Emery stopped 31 of 34 shots in a loss to the Lightning on Wednesday. He is firmly behind Steve Mason for the Flyers starting job, but Emery in 3-2-0 with a 1.42 GAA and .947 SV% in his last five starts - making him a good spot-start option whenever he gets the call. Tonight he faces a Wild team who have lost four straight while only scoring a combined four goals in those games.

Emery vs. Lindback in Tampa Bay.

Emery gave up one goal on 30 shots in a win over the Sabres last Thursday. He played very well in his last two starts, going 2-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and .967 SV%. He has a decent spot-start matchup tonight against a Lightning team without Steven Stamkos and Ben Bishop.

Emery gets the nod vs. the Sabres.

Emery stopped 30 of 31 shots in a win over the Penguins on November 13. He was sharp all night en route to his second win of the season. Steve Mason has been great as of late, but an easy matchup with the Sabres gives Philadelphia a chance to get Emery into a game. With the soft matchup Emery has some spot-start value tonight.

Emery allowed two goals on 24 shots in a loss to New Jersey last Thursday. After being expected to battle for the starting job at the start of the season, Emery is the clear number-2 in Philadelphia. Flyers said earlier after media left that Emery will start tonight

Emery gets the nod against the same Devils team that he shutout on Saturday. After going 17-1-0 with a 1.94 GAA and .922 SV% with the Blackhawks last season, Emery really hasn't been given a chance this season. So far he is 1-2-0 with a 3.59 GAA and .870 SV%, but he has a great matchup tonight.

There are conflicting reports as to who is starting for the Flyers.

Emery starts for the Flyers.

Emery allowed four goals on 34 shots in his first start this season. Steve Mason has played well through four starts so Emery will need a strong performance tonight if he doesn't want to lose his starts. He has a tough matchup against the Red Wings on the road.

Ray Emery
I think he'll play 25-30 games.

Obviously this is speculation at this point in the season but Sam Carchidi's best guess is that Emery would play at most 30 games if Mason has established himself as the primary starter in the Flyers' net. At the very least, you will need to own both Flyers' goalies or try to get whatever value you can for Emery at this point.

Emery will start for the Flyers.

Steve Mason did not have a great season opener, so the door is open for Ray Emery to cement himself as the Flyers starter. He was unbelievable with the Blackhawks last season (17-1-0 / 1.94 GAA / .922 SV%). He will try to get off to a good start in his second stint with the Flyers as they take on the Habs tonight.

Emery was spectacular as the number 2 option in Chicago. He finished the season at 17-1-0 with a 1.94 GAA and .922 SV%. He will head back to Philadelphia where he played in 2009-10 and will battle Steve Mason for the number 1 job.

Neither Bolland nor Emery will be on the trip to St. Louis tomorrow.

Emery suffered a lower-body injury on Wednesday. He won't backup Crawford tonight or go on the trip for the season finale tomorrow. He will head into the playoffs as the Blackhawks #2 option. Should Crawford struggle I don't think Joel Quenneville will hesitate to turn to Emery.
