Poirier has been recalled from Texas (AHL).

With Jake Oettinger returning from the Olympics, he will not be ready to suit when Dallas returns to action on Wednesday. The 24-year-old Poirier has been serviceable in the AHL this season, posting a 2.74 GAA and .906 SV% in 34 games (16-14-4). That said, he is not expected to play and should exclusively serve as Casey DeSmith's backup until Oettinger is ready to return.

With Casey DeSmith (personal) returning from a brief leave of absence, Dallas has loaned Poirier back to Texas (AHL). The 24-year-old Poirier is having a decent season in the AHL for a poor Texas team, posting a 2.77 GAA and .903 SV% in 22 games (8-10-4).

Dallas signed their second depth goalie of the day on Tuesday after they extended their AHL starter Remi Poirier, to a two-year, two-way contract. The 23-year-old was originally Dallas' 2020 6th-round pick (185th overall) and spent the 2024-25 season with Texas (AHL), where he put up a 17-11-2 record, .908 SV% and 2.50 GAA.

Poirier spent the entire season with Texas (AHL), where he went 17-11-2 with a 2.50 GAA and .908 SV% in 31 games. Poirier served as Texas' No.1 netminder in the AHL playoffs, going 5-3 with a 2.19 GAA and .919 SV%. Expect him to start the 2025-26 season in the AHL again.

Poirier was 5-3-2 with a .913 SV% and a 2.48 GAA with the Texas Stars (AHL) and has been recalled to Dallas for the first time in his career. The 21-year-old is on an impressive rise this season, as he has played the majority of his games in the ECHL in 2022-23 and was a 2020 sixth-round pick (185 overall).
