Luongo will be in goal for the Panthers.

Luongo missed the last three games after suffering a concussion on March 27th, but it looks like he will be back tonight vs. Calgary. He has gone 4-5-1 with a 2.54 GAA and .923 SV% with the Panthers. He will face a Flames team he is familiar with from his days in Vancouver.

Luongo said he had a "slight concussion" and could be back on Friday.

It seemed rather obvious by watching the collision that Luongo likely suffered a concussion. Take "slight" concussion as you may, but it cost him the last three games and there is no guarantee he will be back tomorrow. Monitor his status during Friday's morning skate.

Roberto Luongo
Luongo (upper-body) is doubtful for the Panthers' upcoming two-game road trip.

Luongo was run-over by Hurricanes forward Radek Dvorak on Thursday and it sounds like he will miss at least the next three games. Luongo will get to stay in sunny Florida while his team travels to New York, luck Lu.

Roberto Luongo
Luongo will not dress Saturday after leaving Thursday's game in the second period.

Luongo was absolutely run over by Radek Dvorak, who was given a five-minute charging call on the play. Luonogo finished the first period, but did not come back out for the second. With the Panthers way out of the playoff picture, they will play it safe with their star goaltender. Scott Clemmensen will be recalled and Dan Ellis will likely start tomorrow.

Roberto Luongo
Luongo left after the first period against the Hurricanes and did not return due to an upper-body injury.

Hurricanes forward Radek Dvorak crashed into Luongo at 12:48 of the first, driving him into the back of the net and knocking the goal off its moorings. Dvorak was given a major penalty for charging and was ejected. Luongo finished the period, in which he stopped 11 of 12 shots.

Luongo starts for the Panthers.

Luongo made 37 saves on 39 shots in a 3-2 shootout win over the Senators on Tuesday. Bobby Lu made 20 saves in a scoreless first period and then held down the fort as the Panthers came back from down 2-0 to win. Tonight, he faces a Hurricanes team who looked awful on Tuesday vs. the Islanders.

Luongo starts for the Panthers.

Luongo gave up four goals on 29 shots in a loss to the Kings on Saturday night. After watching Dan Ellis start on Sunday, Bobby Lu will get the call tonight vs. the Senators. he has gone 3-4-1 with a 2.62 GAA and .919 SV% since arriving in Florida. He was victorious in his only start vs. Ottawa this season.

Luongo gets the start against the Coyotes.

Luongo stopped 52 of 54 shots in a win over the Sharks on Tuesday. What a display of goaltending from the former Canuck. The last time he was in Phoenix, he was slated to start, but was traded to Florida prior to puck-drop. There is no chance that happens tonight as he gets set to face the Coyotes. Lu is 3-2-1 with a 2.48 GAA and .928 SV% with the Panthers.

Luongo starts in goal for the Panthers.

Luongo allowed three goals on 32 shots in a 4-3 shootout loss to his old team on Sunday. Lu was able to beat Cory Schneider on Friday, but he couldn't complete the sweep of his former crease-mates. Tonight, he gets the call vs. the Sharks and the scorching hot Antti Niemi. It is an ugly road matchup and on a night with 23 other goalies in action, I would take a peak at your other options.

Roberto Luongo
Luongo gets the nod vs. the Canucks.

Luongo allowed three goals on 31 shots in a 5-3 win over Cory Schneider and the Devils on Friday. Today, will be a huge game for Bobby Lu as he goes up against a Canucks team who traded him just 12 days ago. He is 2-2-0 with a 2.53 GAA and .919 SV% since the trade.

Luongo in goal vs. Schneider and the Devils.

Luongo allowed three goals on 26 shots in a loss to the Coyotes on Tuesday. After posting a 25-save shutout in his Panthers re-debut, Bobby Lu has given up seven goals on 67 shots (.895 SV%) in his last two outings. He will look to move to 3-0 over his former teammate Cory Schenider tonight in Florida.

Roberto Luongo
Luongo makes his third straight start with the Panthers.

Luongo gave up four goals on 41 shots in a 5-2 loss to the Bruins on Sunday. He made it look easy vs. the Sabres, but against stiffer competition you were reminded that he plays for the Florida Panthers. Bobby Lu had a lot of success (2-0-1 / 2.52 / .923) against the Coyotes when in Vancouver so he should make for an OK play tonight.

Roberto Luongo
Luongo leads the Panthers onto the ice for warmups; he starts.

Luongo stopped all 25 shots that he faced in his Panthers re-debut on Thursday. He was already the Panthers' all-time leader in shutouts, so his 27th shutout with Florida even furthers his lead. He draws a pretty difficult matchup against the Bruins, although Tuukka Rask will get the night off.

Roberto Luongo
In obvious news.... Luongo will start for the Panthers.

He's back in FLA! After playing in Florida from 2000-2004, Luongo was traded to the Canucks where he played seven and a half seasons, before being traded back on Tuesday. All the controversy surrounding Lu is gone, he has a clean slate with the Panthers and it all begins tonight vs. Buffalo. He was 19-16-6 with a 2.38 GAA and .917 SV% with the Canucks this season. He is a must-start vs. the Sabres.

Roberto Luongo
The Canucks have traded Luongo to the Panthers.

There is no confirmation as to what is coming back the other way, all that is known as of now is that Jacob Markstrom and Shawn Matthias are headed to Vancouver and the Canucks will retain some of Luongo's salary. We will update this report when the trade is confirmed. This means Eddie Lack starts tonight for the Canucks.

Luongo gets back in goal for the Canucks.

Luongo will get his first start since his February 8 start before the Olympics. He had a shutout in his only start with Team Canada, but will look to snap a five-game losing skid with the Canucks. He enters play at 2-0-1 with a 2.52 GAA and .923 SV% against the Coyotes this season.
