Luongo will start Saturday in Tampa Bay.

Luongo started just 33 games last season, but posted a fantastic .929 SV%. He won’t start 60-plus games like he used to, but he will win most of his starts and post rock-solid splits behind a talented Panthers roster. He’ll be in tough against the Lightning tonight—he allowed nine goals on 57 shots (.842 SV%) in two starts vs. Tampa Bay last year.

Luongo stopped all nine shots that he faced after replacing James Reimer in the Panthers loss in Boston on Saturday. Luongo finished March at 5-4-1 with a 2.49 GAA, .925 SV% and two shutouts. In his only start against the Hurricanes this season, Luongo allowed two goals on 47 shots in a losing effort.

Luongo stopped all 28 shots that he faced in the Panthers shutout win in Montreal on Monday. Luongo has gone 5-2-1 with a 2.35 GAA and .929 SV% in eight starts in March. The Panthers continue to fight for a playoff spot so they’ll go back to Bobby Lu tonight in Columbus—he is 5-5-1 with a 2.29 GAA and .928 SV% on the road this season.

Luongo allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Panthers 4-2 loss to the Oilers on Saturday. Luongo has lost his last two starts, allowing a combined eight goals on 60 shots (.867 SV%). Luongo will start the front-end of the back-to-back with James Reimer going tomorrow in Ottawa. Luongo stopped all 40 shots that he faced in a 5-0 shutout win over Montreal on March 8th.

Luongo allowed three goals on 37 shots in the Panthers win over the Rangers on Saturday. Luongo has been unreal as of late, going 8-1-1 with a 2.36 GAA, .933 SV% and one shutout in his last 10 games. Luongo will look to stay red-hot against a bad Senators team at the BB&T Center—Bobby Lu is 10-2-1 with a 2.50 GAA and .934 SV% on home-ice this year.

Luongo stopped all 40 shots that he faced in the Panthers shutout win over the Canadiens on Thursday. Luongo has now won six of his last seven starts while posting a 2.39 GAA, .933 SV% and one shutout. The veteran has been red-hot since returning from injury and is a great option vs. the Rangers tonight—he is 9-2-1 with a 2.48 GAA and .936 SV% on home ice this season.

Luongo allowed five goals on 33 shots in the Panthers loss in Tampa Bay on Tuesday. The loss snapped a five-game winning streak for Luongo but he will remain in net tonight vs. the Canadiens. It will be his first start against his hometown team this season and there aren’t too many goalies playing as well as Bobby Lu right now.

Luongo stopped 39 of 40 shots in the Panthers win over the Flyers on Sunday. The 38-year-old is riding a five-game winning streak, stopping 170 of 182 shots (.934 SV%) in the process. Luongo has been excellent since returning from injury and tonight he will face the Lightning for the first time since opening night—he allowed four goals on 24 shots in a 5-3 loss that night.

Luongo allowed two goals on 39 shots in the Panthers overtime win over the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. Luongo has been outstanding, winning three in a row and four of his last five with a 2.58 GAA and .926 SV%. In his first start against the Devils, Luongo stopped 23 of 25 shots in a 3-2 win in late-November.

Luongo allowed five goals on 37 shots in the Panthers win over the Penguins on Saturday. Since returning to the Panthers’ crease, Luongo has won three of four starts while posting a 2.76 GAA and .919 SV%. Tonight he makes his this start of the year vs. the Maple Leafs—he is 1-1-0 with a 0.97 GAA and .973 SV% in the first two meetings.
