Murray will miss 4-6 weeks with a high-ankle sprain.

Murray already missed 37 games with a knee injury this season and now he will miss at least another month with an ankle injury that he suffered last night. Overall, Murray has missed 65 of the first 132 (49.2%) games in his young career. Another tough blow to this Blue Jackets team who has battled a multitude of injuries all season long.

Murray has missed the last 36 games with a knee injury. Murray, who also missed the first seven games of the season due to off-season knee surgery, has recorded two penalty minutes in four games this season. He collected 21 points (4G / 17A) in 66 games in his first NHL season in 2013-14. Expect him to return to the lineup on Saturday vs. Tampa Bay.

Murray has been sidelined with a knee injury since November 1st. He was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, but has not been cleared to play yet. Despite not being cleared, he will still travel with the team to Florida and could still receive clearance at some point during the trip.

Murray will make his season debut tonight after rehabbing a knee injury that he suffered in the preseason. Murray was the second overall pick in the 2012 draft and is a tremendously talented offensive defenseman who has four goals and 17 assists in 66 carer NHL games. Expect him to be paired with James Wisniewski and play a big part on the Columbus power-play.

Murray has not played this season but has been practicing with the team for nearly two weeks, which is a great sign that he is nearing his season debut. Traveling with the team leaves the possibility that the young defenseman will play on the road-trip, but that is not a guarantee at this point.

Murray is nearing his season debut, but head coach Todd Richards said that penciling him for Friday might be "premature". Richards said he has his fingers crossed for Murray to be ready sooner than later, but “it might be pushing it” to suggest Friday as a possibility. Regardless, Murray continues to make progress and it is a long season. If not Friday, Murray could be back Saturday.

Murray has yet to play this season, but he has practiced everyday for the last week, which is a great sign that he is nearing his season debut. Murray is a tremendous offensive talent and will help bolster a Blue Jackets power-play that is working at 12.5% through two games.

Murray was placed on injured reserve on Sunday which means that he will miss at least the first two games of the season. The face that he is back on the ice this morning is a good sign that he could be back next Tuesday vs. Dallas, the first game he will be eligible to return from IR.

Murray is definitely out for the season opener and the second game of the season on Saturday, but his status beyond that remains unknown. The start of the season will be difficult for Columbus due to a multitude of injuries. Expect solid offensive numbers from Murray when he returns to the blueline.
