Pulock has not played in a week, but could return to the lineup as soon as Wednesday against the New York Rangers. The 31-year-old Pulock is averaging 21:09 time-on-ice and has 21 points (2G / 19A) in 50 games this season.

Pulock has played every game this season, but could be at risk of missing his first, on Saturday afternoon against the Buffalo Sabres. The 31-year-old defenseman has 21 points (2G / 19A) and is averaging 21:09 time-on-ice through 50 games this season.

Pulock suffered a lower-body injury in his opening shift in Saturday's 3-2 win over the New York Islanders and have been placed on Injured Reserve. Already without Noah Dobson (lower body), the Islanders are now without two of their top-four defenders.

Pulock suffered a lower-body injury on December 7th and has been on long-term injured reserve since. After missing 24 games, Pulock will draw back into the lineup on Monday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has six points (2G / 4A), 37 hits, and 66 blocks in 25 games this season.

Pulock left the Islanders' game Thursday vs. Columbus in the third period after 16:28 TOI due to a lower-body injury and has been placed on the Injured Reserve Friday. The 29-year-old heavy shooting defensemen had struggled a bit prior to his injury, with two goals, four assists, 34 SOG, eight PIMs and a -6 plus/minus through 25 games. The Islanders' traded for Robert Bortuzzo from St. Louis Friday in a corresponding move.

Pulock has been out since November 15th but is expected to be back in the lineup on Tuesday. Pulock had a slow start to the season, posting just two assists in 12 games.

This is a huge blow for the Islanders blueline, as Pulock is the team leader in ice-time (21:07). Pulock being out one month opens the door for Sebastian Aho to play big minutes, including on PP1. In two games this season, Aho has played 19:03 ATOI at even-strength and 4:59 on the PP.

Pulock is one half of one of the most underrated D-pairings in the NHL. Pulock has an absolutely cannon for a shot but his offensive numbers have been limited by playing a shutdown role next to Adam Pelech. Pulock has averaged nine goals and 27 assists (36 points) per 82 games over the last four seasons.
