"He’s still our leading goal scorer and we’ve scored only three goals in the last three games," General Manager Don Maloney said. "So, there you go. With Shane, he can play the inside heavy game, and what I’ve found lately is that the majority of chances we’re getting are from the outside. To me that’s where we miss him more than anything on the ice."
If he were to meet the team at one of their four stops, Doan could start skating at that time. But, considering he’s remaining in the Valley for now, a return to the ice isn’t imminent. “His weight is pretty the same,” Tippett said. “When you’re sick, you’ve got some fatigue, and that’s going to take a few days to get over. I think that’s the biggest issue right now.”
"[The Coyotes] are still waiting for test results on Doan, but he was at rink and in a meeting today laughing and joking," Coyotes head coach Dave Tippet said .
