The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman David Savard from the Springfield Falcons, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, and activated defenseman Theo Ruth off injured reserve and assigned him to Springfield

Ruth has no fantasy hockey value.

Injury

D Ted Ruth sustained a sprained knee when he squatted awkardly to the ice after a fight vs. Washington on Wednesday. Ruth is expected to miss two to four weeks.

Doesn't sound like the 22-year-old will make the team. Ruth scored a goal and six points in 52 points with the Springfield Falcons last season. He will need at least one more season in the AHL.
