Hyka had just four points (1G / 3A) while averaging just 11:46 TOI/gm in 17 games with the Golden Knights. He heads back to the Wolves, where he had three assists in two games earlier in the year.
Hyka was a healthy scratch on Monday, but will replace Oscar Lindberg tonight in Arizona. Hyka has registered just four points (1G / 3A) and 22 shots in 16 games this season.
Hyka will take a seat on Friday with Ryan Carpenter (flu) taking his spot on the third line. Ryan Reaves is also expected to replace him on the Golden Knights’ second power-play unit.
Hyka was up on an emergency recall last week but has been officially recalled for tonight’s game in Detroit. The 24-year-old has one goal and one assist in six games with the Golden Knights and 34 points (12G / 21A) in 35 games with the Wolves. Hyka will skate on a line with Erik Haula and David Perron.
