Loui Eriksson News

Eriksson (concussion) will return to the Bruins lineup tonight says head coach Claude Julien.

Eriksson missed the last 15 games with a concussion that he suffered on December 7. He is expected to start the game on the Bruins third line with Carl Soderberg and Ryan Spooner. He has totalled 14 points (5G / 9A) with a plus-8 in 24 games this season. He is owned in 66% of Yahoo leagues. Eriksson would be a consistent producer that would provide depth at both LW and RW.

Eriksson (concussion) appears set to return on Saturday against San Jose.

Eriksson has missed the last 15 games after suffering a concussion on December 7. It was the second concussion that Eriksson has suffered this season, they have kept him out of a total of 20 games. In the 24 games that Eriksson has suited up for, he has registered five goals and nine assists (14 points). If he is still available in your league, he would be a good addition to provide depth at both wing positions.

Eriksson (concussion) is still not cleared for contact, but will travel with the Bruins on their west coast road-trip.

Following this afternoon's game the Bruins travel to Anaheim to take on the Ducks next Tuesday and will be in California until next Saturday when they take on the Sharks. There is a chance Erikssson could be cleared for contact and potentially re-enter the lineup in one of the three games on the trip. Eriksson will miss his 13th straight game today.

Eriksson suffered a concussion on his first shift on Saturday.

Eirksson already missed an extended period of time from a concussion earlier this season, so a second one in the same season is bad news. Don't expect Eriksson to be on the ice in the near future as the Bruins will likely be very delicate with this situation.

Daley (ankle) is expected to be out for "weeks" according to Stars head coach Lindy Ruff.

Daley will join Stephane Robidas on IR as top-4 defensemen that the Stars will be without for an extended period of time. Daley had a goal and four assists in the first 27 games this season. Jamie Oleksiak and Kevin Connauton will now be featured on the Stars blueline quite frequently over the next few weeks.

Trevor Daley
The Dallas Stars are already without defenseman Stephane Robidas for 4-6 months due to a leg fracture, and now it appears they could be without Trevor Daley for a while as well.

The Stars lost Daley early in the second period of Thursday night’s game in Toronto when he and Maple Leafs forward James van Riemsdyk got tangled up while battling for the puck. Daley went down and then slid into the end boards. Daley had to be helped off the ice. He did not return to the game and the Stars said he had a lower body injury. “He’s got an injury that looks like it’s going to be a little bit of time,” said Stars coach Lindy Ruff. “Our people will evaluate it, but I can just tell you that it’s going to be nothing that is going to be short-term.”

Eriksson returned to practice late last week in a no-contact sweater. Today he was on the ice in a regular jersey, which is great news for the Bruins. Boston takes on Dallas tomorrow, Eriksson could be available. If he is not, Jordan Caron will play with Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron.

Eriksson (concussion) skated with a no-contact jersey with the Bruins for the first time since being injured.

Eriksson will miss his fifth straight game after being concussed on a hit by John Scott on October 23. "To see him out there, continuing to progress is encouraging...but we're not out of the woods yet until he's cleared to play," said Bruins head coach Claude Julien.

Loui Eriksson out indefinitely with a concussion after taking head shot from John Scott.

Concussions are a tricky injury to offer timetables for so take his injury day-by-day. This is a tough break for a player who has only missed a total of three games in the last five seasons. In the meantime this offers a value boost to Brad Marchand who shifts back to the second line alongside Patrice Bergeron.

Loui Eriksson update: dealing with concussion-like symptoms (headache), but is expected to return to Boston today.

Eriksson won't be available when the Bruins take on the Sharks tonight. He left Wednesday's game after being hit high by Sabres forward John Scott. Brad Marchand moves back to the second line with Eriksson out.

Loui Eriksson was injured and did not return on Wednesday following a high hit by John Scott.

Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli issued an update following the game, saying that “Loui is staying overnight in Buffalo for precautionary reasons. He is expected to return to Boston (today).” It is safe to assume that Eriksson will not play tonight vs. San Jose.
