Not much changes about Terry's return status but he was placed on the Injured Reserve Thursday with an upper-body injury retroactive to December 30th. The 26-year-old right winger had been enjoying a so-so beginning to his 2023-24 campaign, with nine goals, 22 points, 83 SOG, 14 PIMs and his -7 plus/minus through 35 games.

Terry did not play against the Edmonton Oilers on New Year's Eve and will miss the first game of 2024, his second-straight contest, as he continues to recover from an upper-body injury. Before his injury, Terry was beginning to turn the corner on a disappointing season, scoring nine points (4G / 5A) in his last 10 games after scoring only two points (0G / 2A) in his previous 11. The team is yet to give a timetable for his return.

For the second-straight season Terry led the Anaheim Ducks in goals with 23 goals, 38 assists, 188 SOG, 22 PIMs and a -8 plus/minus through 70 games in 2022-23 and has signed a seven-year, $49 million contract extension ($7,000,000 AAV). The 25-year-old right-winger was a steal after being drafted in the fifth-round of the 2015 NHL Draft (148th overall) and has scored 75 goals and 176 points in 274 career NHL games played.

Terry has missed the Ducks' previous four games due to the birth of his child but is expected to draw back into the lineup Wednesday as Anaheim takes on Edmonton. The 25-year-old has 21 goals, 35 assists, 174 SOG, 22 PIMs and a -8 plus/minus through 66 games prior to his injury.

Terry has missed the Ducks' previous seven games due to an upper-body injury and will return to the lineup Thursday as they take on the Washington Capitals. The 25-year-old had 13 goals, 29 assists, 146 SOG, 16 PIMs and a -13 plus/minus through 51 games prior to the injury.

Terry travelled with the team to Florida and participated in Sunday's practice, which is a good sign that he's nearing a return to the Ducks' lineup. Whether or not he plays Monday vs. the Panthers will be revealed during warmups around 1:30 PM ET.

Terry left the Ducks' previous game vs. Dallas after just three shifts and 2:26 TOI due to an upper-body injury and has been placed on injured reserve Friday. It is a tough loss for the Ducks and the 25-year-old as he is second on the team in points with 13 goals and 29 assists through 51 games prior to the injury.

Terry suffered an upper-body injury early in Monday's game in Dallas, logging just 2:26 TOI. Ryan Strome moved up to the top line after Terry departed the game, and Brett Leason would likely replace him in the lineup if he's unable to play on Tuesday.

Terry missed Tuesday's game against the Blackhawks due to an illness but figures to play Saturday in San Jose. Terry has had a terrific season, reading 30 goals with 23 assists (53 points) in 60 games so far.

It is unclear when Terry picked up the injury but he is questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Blackhawks. Dominik Simon and Zach Aston-Reese will be making their Ducks debuts on Wednesday, so one of them will be replacing Terry in the lineup if he can't play.
