Alexandar Georgiev will start Monday vs. Montreal. Georgiev allowed two goals on 18 shots (.900) for his second victory in three games as he beat Arizona in overtime in his last start. The 27-year-old first-year starter has flourished in the Avalanche's crease this season, with his 28-14-5 record, 2.62 GAA and .918 SV%. He will take on the freefalling Montreal Canadiens, who are trying to snap a six-game losing skid after their 3-1 loss to New Jersey last game.

The 24-year-old is having an incredible season, with his 28-9-10 record, 2.41 GAA and .920 SV%.
