Anaheim Ducks News

Anaheim has signed Judd Caulfield to a two-year, two-way contract.

Caulfied, a fifth-round pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, has yet to play an NHL game, but has been a reliable presence at the AHL level. The 25-year-old forward spent the 2025-26 season with the San Diego Gulls (AHL), scoring 38 points (17G / 21A) in 71 games.

The Ducks have signed AJ Greer to a 4-year deal worth $4.25M AAV ($17.0M total).

The Ducks acquired Greer's rights earlier this offseason from the Florida Panthers and have agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $17 million ($4.25M AAV). The 29-year-old Greer has been an effective bottom-six forward for the Panthers over the past two seasons, and the Ducks hope he can replicate that production. He recorded 32 points (17G / 15A), 113 penalty minutes, and 203 hits in 78 games last season.

Anaheim has acquired the rights to AJ Greer from Florida for the rights to Radko Gudas.

The Panthers acquired Garnet Hathaway from the Flyers to be A.J. Greer's replacement on the fourth line, so it's not surprising that they shipped out his rights. Greer is set to become a UFA on Wednesday, but the expectation is that he'll sign with Anaheim after they acquired his rights on Monday. Greer is coming off of the best offensive season of his career, having scored 17 goals with 15 assists (32 points) in 78 games while compiling 200-plus hits for the second straight season.

The Ducks have acquired Anton Wahlberg and the No.45 overall pick from the Sabres for Olen Zellweger.

Wahlberg was drafted 39th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, but has yet to make his NHL debut. The 20-year-old Swedish forward spent the 2025-26 campaign in the AHL, where he scored 38 points (9G / 29A) in 68 games with the Rochester Americans.

The Ducks signed Ian Moore to a two-year deal worth $1.15M AAV.

Anaheim has locked up a key piece of their defensive unit on Thursday after the team announced they had signed Ian Moore to a two-year deal worth $1.15M AAV. The 24-year-old is entering his second full NHL season after a successful rookie campaign in 2025-26 saw him put up four goals and 12 points in 67 games played.

Gauthier played through two broken vertebrae in April.

Gauthier broke his L1 and L2 vertebrae against the Maple Leafs on March 30th and played the final three games of the regular season and 12 playoff games. Gauthier is expected to be recovered fully for training camp in the fall. He'll look to build on a 41-goal breakout season in 2025-26.

Terry played through a chronic hip impingement that will require surgery in the near future.

The Ducks managed Terry's hip injury down the stretch, giving him plenty of morning skates off towards the end of the regular season and throughout the postseason. They said that his surgery is planned for the "near future" but his timeline for return is to be determined. So consider him out indefinitely.

Dostal will start Game 6 vs. Vegas on Thursday.

Dostal has been mostly reliable this postseason, but the Ducks will need him at his best as they face elimination for the first time in Game Six against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 25-year-old Czech goalie played well in Game Five, saving 29 of 32 shots (.906 SV%), but lost 3-2 in overtime. He has a 2.75 GAA and .885 SV% this round in five games (2-3) against the Golden Knights. The Ducks enter a must-win Game Six as slight +100 home underdogs.

Poehling (undisclosed) is out indefinitely.

Poehling was on the recieving end of a late, dirty hit by Vegas' Brayden McNabb and has been ruled out indefinitely by Head Coach Joel Quenneville on Wednesday. The 27-year-old forward's absence will create a large gap in Anaheim's lineup after he picked up four goals and five points throughout Anaheim's first 11 playoff games.

Dostal will start Game 5 in Vegas.

Dostal rebounded after a shaky performance in Game 3 and guided the Ducks to a series-tying 4-3 victory over the Golden Knights on Sunday. It's been an up-and-down post-season for Dostal, but he remains locked in as Anaheim's number-one netminder despite posting an .874 SV% across the opening ten games of the playoffs. Dostal and the Ducks enter a pivotal Game 5 matchup as slight underdogs at +130 on the money line.

Dostal will start Game 3 against the Golden Knights.

After allowing three or more goals in five of six games (4-2) in the Ducks' opening-round matchup against the Edmonton Oilers, Dostal has saved 40 of 43 shots (.930 SV%) through two games in round two against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 25-year-old Czech goalie was stellar in Game Two, narrowly missing his first career postseason shutout, allowing a goal in the final seconds of a 3-1 win. The Ducks enter a pivotal Game Three as slight -102 home underdogs.
