Gudas will be scratched from Saturday’s game vs. the Blackhawks because of an illness. Brandon Manning is expected to return from an injury to replace Gudas, who should be considered day-to-day.

Mrazek allowed one goal on 35 shots in the Red Wings’ win over the Stars on Tuesday. It was a great and much-needed game for Mrazek, who has now stopped 56 of the last 59 shots that he has faced (.949 SV%). Tonight he will face the Panthers for the third time this season—he is 0-2-0 with a 4.98 GAA and .851 SV% in the first two meetings.

Mrazek allowed two goals on 24 shots in the Red Wings’ overtime loss to Montreal on Saturday. He was good, but Carey Price was just a little better. Mrazek has gone 3-3-1 with a 3.09 GAA and .890 SV% in seven starts at Joe Louis Arena this season and tonight he faces a struggling Stars team who is on the tail-end of a back-to-back.

Mrazek allowed three goals on 16 shots after replacing Jimmy Howard in the Red Wings’ overtime win in New Jersey last night. With Howard out for at least a week, Mrazek will get back in goal tonight vs. Montreal. Mrazek has struggled so far this season and comes in at 3-3-0 with a 3.33 GAA and .886 SV% in six starts on home ice.

Kreider will miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury that he suffered on Saturday in Calgary. With Kreider out, Michael Grabner will skate in the Rangers’ top-6.

Mrazek stopped all 12 shots that he faced after replacing Jimmy Howard in the Red Wings’ 5-0 loss in Montreal on Saturday. Tonight he will make his first start since November 4th and he comes in on a three-game losing streak. Mrazek is 3-2-0 with a 3.17 GAA and .897 SV% in five starts at Joe Louis Arena.


Trouba was back on the ice with the Jets on Tuesday after signing a two-year deal on Monday. The blur liner skated as an extra and will be scratched on Tuesday, but head coach Paul Maurice said Trouba could play as early as Thursday.

After holding out of training camp and the first month of the season, the Jets were finally able to sign restricted free agent Jacob Trouba to a two-year deal. Trouba is regarded as one of the best young defenseman in the NHL and signing him is huge for the Jets' success in 2016-17. Trouba had 21 points (6G / 15A) in 81 games with the Jets last season.

It was Mrazek’s worst start of the year so far, but it looks like the Red Wings will come back to Mrazek tonight in Philadelphia. Mrazek is 4-3-0 with a 2.94 GAA and .910 SV% and he’ll face a Flyers team that is 4-5-1 despite ranking third in scoring (3.50 G/PG).

Kreider has missed the last four games with a neck strain, but returns to the lineup tonight vs. the Blues. Kreider had a good start to the year, picking up seven points (3G / 4A) in five games. Kreider will be back on a line with Mika Zibanejad at centre and Mats Zuccarello will be on the right wing. Kreider is averaging 3:07 on the power-play and is second among Rangers’ forwards with 13:52 at even strength.

Mrazek has been busy this season, facing an average of 33.3 shots per game, but he has been equal to the task. He allowed three goals on 37 shots in a loss in his first start vs. Florida.

Kreider will miss his fourth consecutive game with a neck strain, but he could be back on Tuesday. It is good news that his injury is not going to keep him out much longer, but the Rangers will take on the Lightning without Kreider.

Kreider has missed the last two games and will miss both games this weekend with a neck strain. Kreider’s injury isn’t believed to be serious, so he could be back in the lineup early next week—maybe Tuesday vs. the Blues.
