Mrazek will be in goal again on Sunday.

Mrazek stopped all 23 shots that he faced in the Red Wings 4-0 win over the Lightning yesterday. It was a big win for the Red Wings, who had been struggling mightily heading into Saturday. Mrazek’s shutout earned him the back-to-back start this afternoon vs. the Islanders. New York comes in having lost seven of their last eight games.

Mrazek will start Thursday in Florida.

Mrazek stopped 42 of 43 shots in the Red Wings 5-1 win over the Penguins on Sunday. The 42 saves is a bit misleading as the Red Wings were in control of this game from start-to-finish. He has been very strong this season going 14-5-1 with a 2.47 GAA and .914 SV% and should make for a nice start tonight vs. a Panthers team he is already 1-0 against this season.

The Flyers have acquired Radko Gudas, a 2015 1st round pick and a 2015 third round pick from the Lightning for Braydon Coburn.

Gudas, 24, is expected to miss the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery in early January. He has one more year on his deal with a 992K cap-hit. Gudas is extremely physical and possesses a heavy slap-shot from the point. He was second on the Lightning in hits (115) and fifth in blocked shots (63) despite playing on 31 games.

The Red Wings have reassigned Petr Mrazek to Grand Rapids (AHL).

Mrazek, 23, filled in admirably while Jonas Gustavsson was out and then played even better when he became the team’s starter when Jimmy Howard went down. Overall he was 13-5-1 with a 2.55 GAA and .909 SV% in 20 games with the Red Wings. He will be back if another injury happens in the crease and he will definitely have a permanent spot on the team in 2015-16.

Mrazek will start on Wednesday.

Mrazek stopped 22 of 23 shots in the Red Wings 3-1 win over the Coyotes on Saturday. He has won three in a row while posting a 0.67 GAA, .973 GAA and one shutout. He has been red-hot which is why Mike Babcock will go with Mrazek over a healthy Jimmy Howard tonight vs. the Penguins.

Mrazek stopped all 28 shots that he faced in the Red Wings 3-0 shutout in over the Avalanche on Thursday. He has won seven of his previous nine starts while posting a 2.67 GAA and .906 SV%.
