Zadorov did not practice on Wednesday due to personal reasons and his status for Thursday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks is up in the air. Bancroft is an undrafted 24-year-old forward that has spent the previous three seasons playing collegiate hockey with Cornell University (ECAC). He scored 27 points (15G / 12A) in 36 games this season.

It's unclear if Lysell is dealing with some sort of undisclosed injury or if he is simply a healthy scratch. Jeffrey Viel will draw into the lineup in his place.

Viel will make his first appearance since March 4th when the Bruins host the Capitals on Tuesday. He is yet to register a point in four games this season.

Locmelis was a fourth-round pick, 119th overall, of the Bruins in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The 21-year-old has spent the past two season playing collegiate hockey with UMass-Amherest (H-East) and scored 33 points (8G / 25A) in 40 games in 2024-25.

The Bruins are amid an eight-game losing skid and will hope for a better result on Tuesday, with Swayman tending the twine against the Washington Capitals. The 26-year-old Swayman was serviceable in his most recent outing but did not receive ample goal support, saving 20 of 22 shots (.909 SV%) in a 2-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings. He has a 3.10 GAA and .893 SV% in 52 games this season (20-26-6). The Bruins enter Tuesday's contest as +182 home underdogs against a Capitals team coming off a disappointing 8-5 loss to the Buffalo Sabres.

McAvoy has not played since suffering an injury at the 4Nations Face-Off, but was skating in a non-contact jersey since last week, and has upgraded to a full-contact practice on Monday. The 27-year-old had seven goals, 23 points, 98 SOG and 46 PIMs in 50 games to start the season. The Bruins have eight games remaining this season and it's unclear when McAvoy could return to the lineup.
