Bishop will start Thursday vs. the Lightning.

Bishop stopped all 38 shots that he faced in the Stars shutout win over the Flames on Tuesday. The win snapped a bit of a ugly stretch for Bishop and the Stars, who will welcome the Lightning to American Airlines Center tonights. The 31-year-old netminder was lit up by his former team earlier in the season, but he is 19-8-1 with a 2.06 GAA and .933 SV% on home-ice.

Thompson was recalled from San Antonio (AHL) and is expected to play Sunday.

Thompson has split his time between the AHL and NHL this season, picking up three goals and three assists (six points) in 24 games with the Blues. During his time with the Rampage, the 20-year-old has 18 points (8G / 10A) in 30 contests. He is expected to play on Sunday afternoon, but there’s no word on who he will replace.

Bishop will start Wednesday against the Ducks.

Bishop had a terrible start against the Sharks on Monday, allowing four goals on just five shots before being pulled from the game. It was the second time in three starts that Bishop had to be relieved in favour of Kari Lehtonen. He’ll be hard-pressed to get his game back on track tonight, as he draws a difficult matchup in Anaheim.

Lyon will start Tuesday against the Canadiens.

Lyon entered Sunday’s game against the Rangers after Michal Neuvirth went down with a lower-body injury, making 25 saves on 26 shots en route to picking up the win for the Flyers. Despite his strong play on Sunday, the Flyers still felt it necessary to acquire Petr Mrazek from the Red Wings, though Lyon is still expected to see some starts so long as Neuvirth and Brian Elliot are both sidelined. He draws a strong matchup tonight at home against the Canadiens.

Bishop had a disappointing game against the Canucks on Sunday, stopping just 16 of 20 shots before being pulled in favour of Kari Lehtonen. It was an unfortunate end to a strong stretch of games for Bishop, who had been 6-3-1 with a .934 SV% over his previous ten starts. He has a decent matchup tonight at home against the Blues.

Bishop (face) will return to the Stars crease on Monday.

Bishop allowed three goals on 42 shots in the Stars loss to the Kings last Tuesday. He ended up missing Saturday’s game after being hit in the face on the bench during Thursday’s game, but the swelling has gone down and he’s ready-to-go Monday. Bishop came out of January at 4-4-1 with a 2.22 GAA and .927 SV% in nine starts.

Bishop (face) will not be available on Saturday.

Bishop was hit in the face by a puck on the bench during Thursday’s game and won’t play Saturday. Bishop doesn’t have a concussion but they need to wait for some swelling to come down. A goalie will be recalled to backup Kari Lehtonen on Saturday.

Lyon will make his first NHL start in New Jersey.

Lyon turned aside all five shots that he faced in relief of Michal Neuvirth in his NHL debut last night. Neuvirth reportedly did not feel well during the game, so look for Lyon to get his first career start tonight in New Jersey. The 25-year-old is a bit of an unknown and is the fourth goalie on the Flyers depth chart but with injuries he’ll get his shot—he was 13-8-2 with a 2.90 GAA and .910 SV% in Lehigh Valley (AHL).
