Wolf will start in Colorado on Thursday.

The Flames have received more reliable netminding from Devin Cooley in recent weeks, but they will continue their rotation and turn to Wolf on Thursday against the Colorado Avalanche. The 24-year-old Wolf only lasted half of a period, allowing four goals on 16 shots (.750 SV%), before being replaced by Cooley in an eventual 9-2 loss to the Avalanche last week. The 24-year-old Wolf has allowed 10 goals on the last 50 shots he has faced (.800 SV%). The Flames enter Thursday's contest as enormous +273 road underdogs against the league-leading Avalanche.

Cooley will start in Dallas on Tuesday.

Cooley was excellent in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks, saving 36 of 39 shots (.923 SV%), and will return to the crease on Tuesday against the Dallas Stars. The 28-year-old Cooley has won three of his last four starts (3-0-1), posting a 2.42 GAA and .925 SV% in those outings. That said, the Flames enter Tuesday's contest as sizeable +211 road underdogs against a Stars team that handily defeated them 6-1 in a game last month.

Beecher will be a healthy scratch vs. Vegas on Thursday.

Martin Pospisil will draw back into Calgary's lineup on Thursday, sending Beecher to the press box as a healthy scratch. The 24-year-old Beecher recorded an assist and a -1 plus/minus in Monday's 9-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. He has seven points (3G / 4A) in 34 games this season.

Pospisil will draw back into Calgary's lineup vs. Vegas on Thursday.

John Beecher will be a healthy scratch on Thursday, allowing Pospisil to re-enter the lineup from a one-game absence. The 26-year-old Pospisil played 81 games in the 2024-25 season, but has been in and out of the lineup since making his 2025-26 debut in late January. The Slovak forward has two points (1G / 1A) and 37 hits in 12 games this season.

Zary (upper-body) will return in Vegas on Thursday.

Zary has not played since suffering an upper-body injury on March 20th, but he will make his return on Thursday against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 24-year-old Zary is averaging 14:31 time-on-ice and has 24 points (11G / 13A) in 67 games this season

Wolf only lasted half of a period before being relieved by Devin Cooley on Monday, allowing four goals on 16 shots (.750 SV%) in an eventual 9-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. The 24-year-old Wolf was on a solid stretch before his recent blip, posting a 2.13 GAA and .920 SV% in five games (3-2-0). The Flames enter Thursday's contest as significant +210 road underdogs against a Vegas Golden Knights team that has scored three or more goals in three straight games (1-0-2).

Calgary has signed Axel Hurtig to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Hurtig was a seventh-round pick of the Calgary Flames in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft that has just been rewarded with a three-year, entry-level contract. The 20-year-old defenseman scored 19 points (6G / 13A) this season in 64 games with the Calgary Hitmen (WHL).

The Flames signed Castagna to a three-year entry-level deal on Monday.

The 70th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, Castagna was acquired from the Mammoth earlier this season in the Mackenzie Weegar trade. Castagna recently finished his Junior season of NCAA hockey at Cornell University, where he tallied 15 goals and 19 assists in 34 games.
