Calgary Flames News
This is a bizarre punishment that we have never seen before but Kadri has effectively been suspended for three-to-five games. William Nylander moved to centre in Game 3 with Kadri suspended and they will likely stick with the same lineup in Game 4 after winning 3-2 last night.

Kadri was not at the Maple Leafs morning skate and head coach Mike Babcock said the centre would not be available vs. the Lightning. Babcock added that there may be a press release regarding Kadri’s injury, which suggests he could miss some time. This would obviously be a huge loss heading into the playoffs if that is the case but we update any further information as it is provided.

Backlund was rested on Monday but is expected to replace Sean Monahan in the lineup on Wednesday.

Stone has been out since November 11th because of complications with a blood clot in his arm. Stone hasn’t been able to crack the Flames lineup lately so he’ll go to Stockton to get back up to game speed.

Kadri suffered a concussion early in Tuesday’s game in St. Louis and will not play Thursday vs. the Capitals. William Nylander will move to centre on the third line and Andreas Johnsson will replace him on the top power-play unit.

Coleman missed the last four games with an upper-body injury but will play Tuesday vs. the Penguins. Coleman has been held pointless in his last six games but has a quality campaign, scoring 18 goals on 155 shots (11.6 SH%) with 11 assists (29 points) in 55 games.

Coleman was a bit of a surprising scratch on Tuesday and will miss his second straight game on Thursday. Nick Lappin will remain in the Devils lineup with Coleman sidelined.

Weegar has been in the lineup for the last two games but will be replaced by Ian McCoshen on Thursday.
