Andersson, 20, was a second round pick (No.53 overall) in 2015 and has earned his first NHL call-up. Andersson has recorded three goals and 19 assists (22 points) in 50 AHL games this season. He could make his NHL debut on Saturday with Dougie Hamilton and Michael Stone listed as questionable.
Stone and Dougie Hamilton are battling injuries on the Flames’ blueline and had coach Glen Gulutzan said he hopes one of them “will play tomorrow” and the other “will play soon.” There is no word which one is closer, but expect an update after the team’s morning skate on Saturday.
Coleman, 25, was a third round pick in 2011 (No.75 overall) and has one assist in five games with the Devils this season. He has spent the majority of the year in Albany, where he has 18 goals and 16 assists (34 points) in 49 games. Coleman will replace P.A. Parenteau in the lineup on Monday.
Stone had his best offensive season of his career in 2015-16, but has struggled in 2016-17. Stone has just one goal and eight assists (nine points) in 45 games, but heads to Calgary where he will likely serve as their sixth defenseman. The Coyotes will retain 50 percent of Stone’s salary and the condition on the fifth round pick is based on whether or not the Flames re-sign Stone.
Huberdeau was hurt in a preseason game and missed the first 51 games of the season, but will make his season debut tonight versus the Ducks. Huberdeau’s injury really hurt the Panthers, but he returns with them just outside of the playoffs. Huberdeau had a break-out 2015-16 season, scoring 20 goals with 39 assists (59 points) in 76 games. Expect him to be re-united with Aleksander Barkov, who also returns tonight and Jaromir Jagr.
In late December it was believed that Huberdeau would be ready to go in mid-February, but it sounds like he won’t be ready until the first week of March. The Panthers have had a tough time with injuries this season and Huberdeau couldn’t return soon enough.
Coleman, 25, was a third round pick in 2011 (75th overall) and registered 13 goals and 10 assists (23 points) in 34 games with Albany this season. He will make his NHL debut tonight in Edmonton.
The Panthers are still waiting for Huberdeau to make his season debut and he appears to be on track to play in mid-February. Expect Seth Griffith to continue to skate on the top-line, but Huberdeau should take that spot as soon as he is ready to go.
This marks the second time in five games that Stone has been a healthy scratch. He will come out of the lineup with Connor Murphy set to return from injury.
Stone has missed the last six games with an upper-body injury, but he will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Bruins. There’s no word on who will come out of the lineup to make room for Stone, but he has three assists in four games this season.
Stone has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury and his movement to IR created a roster spot to recall Anthony DeAngelo from Tucson (AHL). Stone remains day-to-day and there is no word on how long he will be out.
Stone will miss his fourth straight game with an upper-body injury. Stone did not even travel to Anaheim, which suggests that he is still a ways away from being ready to re-join the lineup.
Ritchie will miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury. He will join Ryan Getzlaf in the press-box, which means two-thirds of the Ducks’ top-line is out tonight. Rickard Rakell and Michael Sgarbossa will be bumped to the top line in the meantime.
