Backlund has been out since October 28th because of abdominal surgery. The Flames never gave a timetable for Backlund’s return, but he is hoping to join the team for practice tomorrow and will go from there.
After missing Saturday’s game, Stone was back in the lineup last night in Vancouver. He did not record a point and was a minus-2 with one shot in the Coyotes blowout 7-1 loss to the Canucks.
Stone suffered an upper-body injury on Tuesday vs. Edmonton and will not play today. He will be replaced by Chris Summers.
After the Canadiens acquired Sergei Gonchar from the Stars on Tuesday, one of their young defensemen needed to be sent down. They have elected to go with Nathan Beaulieu over Tinordi for now. Tinordi was a healthy scratch in four of the last five games and had just two assists with a minus-5 rating in nine games.
Huberdeau missed the last three games with the flu, but he is on the ice for pre game warmups and will face the Flames this afternoon. He will skate on the Panthers' second line with Brad Boyes and Nick Bjugstad.

Mantha has been sidelined since mid-September with a fractured tibia. He has been cleared to do some practice drills this week and the Red Wings are hoping he will make his pro hockey debut with Grand Rapids in a couple of weeks. The Red Wings are always patient with their prospects so Mantha will have to get his feet wet with the Griffins, before he can even consider making his NHL debut.

Mantha, 20, is the reigning CHL player of the year after scoring 57 goals and 63 assists (120 points) in 57 games with Val d'Or (QMJHL). Mantha had a great chance to make the Red Wings out of training camp, but now will likely start in the AHL when he returns in late-October/early-November.
In an ugly knee-on-knee play by Matt Cooke - likely resulting in suspension - Barrie's season was ended after suffering an MCL injury.
Barrie suffered an upper-body injury on Friday vs. the Sharks was held out on Sunday vs. the Ducks mainly as a precaution and should be good to go on Thursday.
Barrie played just 7:07 before heading to the dressing room for the night. The Avalanche have recalled Stefan Elliott this afternoon, which suggests that Barrie's injury may be serious.
Updating an earlier report: It is confirmed that Huberdeau will return tonight and he will skate on the third-line with Drew Shore and Jesse Winchester.
Huberdeau, who has missed he last 11 games with a concussion, is on the ice for the Panthers' morning skate taking part in regular work on a line with Drew Shore and Jesse Winchester. It has been a tough season for Huby, but he will look to get something going at the end of the season that he can build off of in 2014-15.
There is no word when Backlund suffered the hand injury, but it will cost him a second consecutive game tonight in New Jersey. Ken Agostino will stay in the lineup with Backlund sidelined.
Huberdeau has not played since March 16th because of a concussion. If he is unable to go against the Stars, look for him to return on Tuesday against the Flyers.
