Huberdeau (concussion) could be back for Florida on Sunday.

Huberdeau has missed the last nine games and will make it 10 on Friday, but he could suit up vs. the Stars on Sunday. He has taken a step back after a great rookie season last year. In his Calder Trophy winning season, Huberdeau averaged 0.646 points per game and has seen that drop to 0.409 in 2013-14.

Barrie will play on the wing with Max Talbot and Cody McLeod again Friday.

Barrie played 19:03 with one assist, two shots and a plus-1 rating in Wednesday's game. With the injury to John Mitchell it allowed Patrick Roy to move his offensive defenseman up to the third line. Barrie has two goals and six assists in his last 12 games.

Huberdeau (foot) appears to be ready to return to the Panthers lineup.

Huberdeau has missed the last two games because of a foot injury he suffered on December 13. He was skating on a line with Nick Bjugstad and Scottie Upshall in this morning's skate, which suggests he will be back in the lineup vs. the Senators. Huberdeau has seven goals and eight assists (15 points) in 33 games.

Kadri is back on the ice this morning after missing Tuesday's game due to a family matter.

Kadri has been moved to the top-line in practice because Tyler Bozak is not on the ice after suffering a lower-body injury versus San Jose on Tuesday. Should Bozak miss an extended period of time, Kadri will likely get a look on the top-line with James van Riemsdyk and Phil Kessel - something that will certainly boost his fantasy value, because he not be great alongside David Clarkson so far.

Set to return from his suspension tomorrow, Kadri is skating with Phil Kessel and James van Riemsdyk.

The Maple Leafs have had a patchwork roster with Kadri, Tyler Bozak and Dave Bolland out, but Kadri's return will stabilize their top-6. The Leafs went 2-1-0 without Kadri. He has five goals and 14 points in 18 games and a spot on the first line should only help him produce even more.

Kadri has been suspended for three games for his hit on Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom on Wednesday.

This is a tough break for the Maple Leafs who lose yet another centre. They are already without Tyler Bozak (hamstring) and Dave Bolland (ankle). He is not eligible to play until next Thursday vs. Nashville.

Nazem Kadri will have a phone hearing this afternoon for the collision with Wild goalie Backstrom.

Kadri was also assessed a match penalty last night for a hit on Mikael Granlund, but the NHL viewed it primarily as a full body hit. Head was not primary point of contact. The penalty on ice fit the crime. We will update if a suspension is handed down.

The Avalanche have reassigned Tyson Barrie to the AHL.

Patrick Roy was not impressed with Barrie's start to the season and had him as a healthy scratch for eight of the Avs' last nine games. He will head to Lake Erie (AHL) where he will likely see a ton of ice-time which will help him develop a lot better than sitting on a nightly basis.

The Red Wings have signed forward Anthony Mantha to a 3 year entry level contact.

Detroit selected Mantha with the 20th pick at this year's NHL entry draft. He scored 50 goals and 39 assists in 67 games with Val d'Or Foreurs (QMJHL) last season. He has been off to a hot start this year as well, 13 goals and 10 assists (23 points) in eight games (first in QMJHL).

Defenceman Jarred Tinordi will have a place on the #Habs 23-man opening day roster.

Tinordi might not play on October 2nd, but he has cracked the 23-man roster. When Davis Drewiske went down with an injury the door opened for the 6-foot-6, 21 year old. Tinordi had two assists and was a plus-5 in eight games with the Habs last season.
