Calgary Flames News

Wolf is in the starter's crease at Calgary's morning skate.

Wolf has had an inconsistent 2025-26 campaign and hopes the extended Olympic break can help him reset and return to the form that saw him finish as the runner-up for the Calder Trophy in the 2024-25 season. The 24-year-old Wolf entered the break by allowing four or more goals in seven of his last 10 games (2-7-1), posting an ugly 3.51 GAA and .881 SV%, and was largely outplayed by counterpart Devin Cooley. The Flames enter Thursday's contest as +112 road underdogs against a Sharks team they defeated 3-2 in their previous meeting.

Strome will be a healthy scratch vs. Edmonton on Wednesday.

With Leo Carlsson (lower body) returning to Anaheim's lineup, Strome will be the odd man out on Wednesday against the Edmonton Oilers. After five consecutive seasons with over 40 points, the 32-year-old Strome has struggled in the 2025-26 season with the Ducks, scoring only eight points (3G / 5A) through 32 games.

Huberdeau will undergo season-ending hip resurfacing surgery.

The 32-year-old Huberdeau was have a sluggish season, with 25 points (10G / 15A) through 50 games, but ends his 2025-26 campaign with four points (1G / 3A) in his last five outings.

Dating back to late December, the 28-year-old goalie has a dazzling 2.00 GAA and .933 SV% in his last six games (3-2-1). Parekh is expected to draw back into Calgary's lineup vs. Toronto on Monday.

Parekh started the season in the NHL but struggled to acclimate before an injury sidelined him for a lengthy period. He was then sent to play for Team Canada at the U-20 World Junior Championship, where he excelled with 13 points (5G / 8A) in seven games. The talented 19-year-old defenseman carried that international momentum into a brief conditioning loan with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL), where he scored five points (2G / 3A) in four games. He will return to the Flames' lineup on Monday for his first NHL action since November 7th.
