Kochetkov will start Game 5 vs. New Jersey on Tuesday.

Frederik Andersen exited Game 4 due to an undisclosed injury and will be sidelined for Game 5, allowing Kochetkov to tend the twine. Kochetkov was solid in relief in Game 4, saving 14 of 15 shots (.933 SV%) in the 5-2 win over the New Jersey Devils. His last start was on April 16th when he allowed three goals on 21 shots (.857 SV%) in a 4-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens. The 25-year-old goalie has seven career playoff appearances (1-4), posting a 3.73 GAA and .870 SV%. The Hurricanes enter Game 5 on Tuesday as sizeable -262 home favorites against the Devils.

The 29-year-old Martin had a 3.89 GAA and .846 SV% in a brief nine-game stint with the Hurricanes earlier this season (3-4-1).

Despite an excellent 2.44 GAA and .915 SV% in 73 career playoff appearances (39-30), success in the postseason has alluded Andersen, advancing past the second round only once in the past eight seasons. Still, the Hurricanes remain overwhelming favorites, entering Game 2 with -253 odd at home against the Devils.

During the 2023-24 postseason, Andersen backstopped the Hurricanes to a 6-4 record with a 2.62 GAA and .895 SV%.

The Hurricanes will turn to Andersen between the pipes for their regular season finale in Ottawa on Thursday. Andersen struggled in his last start, allowing four goals on 20 shots in a 4-1 loss to the Maple Leafs on Sunday. The 35-year-old netminder carries a 13-7-1 record and a .907 SV% into his last start of the season on Thursday. The Hurricanes enter action at +125 on the money line.

The 25-year-old netminder has a 2.59 GAA and .897 SV% in 46 games this season (27-15-3). The Hurricanes enter Wednesday's contest as +107 road underdogs against a Montreal Canadiens team that can clinch a playoff berth with a single point.
