Andersen stopped 31 of 32 shots in the Maple Leafs win over the Canucks on Monday. Andersen is riding a three-game winning streak, having stopped 74 of the 79 shots (.937 SV%) that he faced. Tonight he will face the Canadiens for the second time this season, he won the first in OT but Montreal leads the NHL in goals-per-game (4.00) through their first 12 games.


Chatfield was an ugly minus-4 in the Canucks loss in Toronto on Saturday. Chatfield has struggled recently, so Olli Juolevi will replace him on Monday.






Martinook has been on the COVID-19 reserve list and has not played since January 18th. Martinook should reclaim a spot on the Hurricanes' fourth-line and comes in with one assist in three games this season.

Slavin has been on the COVID-19 reserve list and has not played since January 18th. His return to the Hurricanes' blueline will provide a huge boost, as he should replace Jake Bean and skat eon the top-pair with Dougie Hamilton.


Martinook was activated on Friday and was on the ice for an optional practice, suggesting that he could be available for Saturday's home game vs. the Stars. Martinook should replace Max McCormick and take back his spot on the fourth line for Saturday's contest.

Chatfield is expected to replace Olli Juolevi on the Canucks blueline on Wednesday. The 24-year-old defenseman, who had four assists in 48 AHL games a season ago, should help boost the Canucks penalty kill and is expected to skate on the second pair with Alex Edler.

On Tuesday, their game with the Predators was cancelled due to four more players being added to that list, Slavin among them. The four players with confirmed positive tests must stay behind in Nashville and observe a 10-day isolation period in the team hotel.
