Andersen has won his last two starts while stopping 52 of 56 shots (.929 SV%) and will make his seventh start on Saturday night. The 30-year-old was 1-1-0 while giving up eight goals on 68 shots in his two regular-season starts vs. the Bruins last year.

Lemieux has been dealing with an illness this week and head coach David Quinn will decide after warmups whether or not Lemieux plays in New Jersey. Lemieux has no points, four PIMS and three shots in three games this season.

Jankowski was a healthy scratch in San Jose on Sunday but is expected to replace Tobias Rieder vs. the Flyers. Jankowski, who will skate on a line with Sam Bennett and Austin Czarnik, has no points, four shots and a minus-4 rating in five games this season.

Andersen allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Maple Leafs win in Detroit on Saturday. The win snapped a brief two-game losing skid for Andersen, who is now 3-2-0 with a 3.38 GAA and .886 SV% in his first five starts. He is a must-start against the 1-4-0 Wild, who are on the tail-end of a back-to-back and are averaging just 2.40 goals per game.

Andersen was lit up for seven goals on 28 shots in the Maple Leafs loss to the Lightning on Thursday. After winning both of his first two starts, Andersen has dropped back-to-back games while giving up a combined 10 goals on 58 shots (.828 SV%). He’ll try to get back on track in Detroit on Saturday—Andersen was 1-0-1 with a 2.96 GAA and .903 SV% in two games vs. the Red Wings last year.

Andersen gave up three goals on 30 shots in the Maple Leafs loss to the Blues on Monday. The loss snapped a two-game winning streak to open the season for Andersen, who has allowed just seven goals on 85 shots (.918 SV%) to open the season. He had a tough time vs. the Lightning last year, going 1-3-0 with a 3.55 GAA and .887 SV%.

Martinook will undergo core muscle surgery on Friday and is expected to be out until late-November/early-December. Former first-round pick Julien Gauthier was recalled on Wednesday and is expected to replace Martinook in the lineup moving forward.

Andersen made 28 saves on 29 shots in the Maple Leafs 4-1 win in Columbus on Friday. Andersen made a number of huge saves to preserve Toronto’s lead and has started the season 2-0 while stopping 51 of the 55 shots (.927 SV%) that he has faced in his first two starts. On Monday, he will face the reigning Stanley Cup Champions, who he was 0-1-1 with a 3.02 GAA and .908 SV% against last year.

Andersen allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Maple Leafs 5-3 win over the Senators on opening night. Getting the ‘W’ is all that matters, but Andersen will be hoping for better performances in the future. He is a great option against a Blue Jackets team that lost a few key pieces this offseason.

Kase is on the non-roster injured list but could be activated ahead of Thursday’s season opener, with a corresponding move. The Ducks did not hold a morning skate so there is no indication on who will be in the lineup vs. Arizona.

It originally looked like Dzingel would miss the first few games of the season with a lower-body injury that he suffered in the preseason. However, Dzingel was back at practice on Wednesday and is skating on the third line prior to Thursday’s season opener. He had 26 goals and 30 assists (56 points) last year and will skate with Erik Haula and Jordan Martinook in his Hurricanes debut.

Andersen has been a model of consistency during his tenure in Toronto. The Dane has averaged 64 starts and 36 wins while posting a 2.75 GAA and .918 SV%. The Maple Leafs want to scale back his workload in 2019-20, but he remains a high-end fantasy option. His opening night matchup is outstanding, but Andersen was 1-1-0 with a 4.11 GAA and .881 SV% in two games vs. Ottawa last season.

Kase has not been on the ice since last Monday when he took an elbow to the head from Kings forward Jeff Carter. Kase finished the game and the Ducks haven’t pinpointed what is ailing the oft-injured winger, but he is “close” according to head coach Dallas Eakins. The only way Kase plays in the season opener is if he gets onto the ice over the next few days, so monitor his status leading up to Thursday’s opener.

Bokk was the No.25 overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft and is set to play in his second full season with Rögle BK (Swedish Hockey League). Bokk has tremendous speed and hands and is coming off of 23 points (8G / 15A) in 47 games last year.

Suzuki was selected with the No.28 overall pick in this summer’s draft after scoring 25 goals with 50 assists (75 points) in 65 games with the Barrie Colts (OHL).

Lemieux was traded to the Rangers last season and finished the season with six points (3G / 3A) in 19 games with New York. Adding Kaapo Kakko, Artemi Panarin and potentially Vitali Kravtsov upfront this offseason is going to make it very difficult for Lemieux to crack the opening night lineup in 2020.
