Gostisbehere has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury that he suffered last Saturday in Toronto, but he was on the ice for today’s morning skate and he said he feels good enough to play. It sounds like Gostisbehere will return, but he is officially listed as a game-time decision.

Gostisbehere will miss the Flyers back-to-back on Wednesday/Thursday but has not been ruled out for Saturday’s home game against the Avalanche. With Gostisbehere still out, Ivan Provorov will continue to be leaned on as the Flyers’ No.1 defenseman.

Gostisbehere had to leave Saturday’s game in Toronto with a potential head injury after being blasted from behind by Leo Komarov. With Gostisbehere out, Robert Hagg is skating on the top-pairing with Ivan Provorov and Provorov is on the top power-play unit. Either Samue Morin or Mark Alt will draw into the lineup to game Gostisbehere’s spot.

Jankowski, 23, was a first round pick (No.21 overall) in 2012 and could make his season debut this week with Jaromir Jagr going on IR. Jankowski, who had a good camp, has recorded eight points (5G / 3A) in six games with the Stockton to start 2017-18. Jankowski has produced at all levels, so expect much of the same when he becomes a full-time NHLer.

Martinook was out of the lineup in Vegas on Tuesday, but will draw back in for Brendan Perlini tonight vs. the Red Wings. Martinook has one assist, two shots and three hits in two games this season.

Marrtinook was out of the lineup in Vegas on Tuesday, but could draw back into the lineup tonight vs. the Red Wings. So far this season, Martinook has one assist with two shots on goal, but isn’t a viable fantasy injury.

Deslauriers is a bruising winger who appeared in 42 games with the Sabres last season, picking up just two assists and 38 PIMS. He is a depth forward for the Canadiens.

Ehlers is entering the final year of a three-year deal, so this new deal won’t kick in until 2018-19 and it runs through the 2024-25 season. The 21-year-old is coming off of a great sophomore campaign, having collected 25 goals and 39 assists (64 points) in 82 games. Ehlers is positioned for another great year as he’s poised to start the season with Patrik Laine and Bryan Little.

Despite Gostisbehere saying that he is ready to play on Wednesday, he skated on the Flyers’ fourth-pairing during Tuesday’s practice, which suggests that he may sit vs. the Sharks. Monitor his status during the Flyers’ morning skate tomorrow.

Fast, who underwent offseason hip surgery could be cleared for contact in the next couple of weeks, but is not expected to return to the Rangers lineup until late-October. With Fast out, one of the Rangers’ first-round picks, Lias Andersson and/or Filip Chytil, are expected to make the opening night roster.

Valimaki is a mobile defenseman that oozes with offensive ability. The Finnish blueliner piled up 61 points (19G / 42A) in 60 games with the Tri-City Americans—good for fourth on the team. He’ll bring a lot of high-octane offence to the Flames blueline in the future.
