Shaw (knee) will not play in game 2 on Wednesday.

Shaw will be out for the seventh consecutive game; he says it’s the most time he’s missed in his entire hockey career. The good news is, Shaw said he’s feeling no pain with his injury. The stops/starts and quick on-ice movements aren’t affecting him either. He is targeting a return for game 3.

Shaw is participating again this morning, but is not taking line rushes on any of the top four lines which is not a good sign for his availability for game 2 on Wednesday. Shaw has not played since game 1 of the second round series vs. the Wild. Monitor his status during tomorrow's morning skate prior to game 2.

Shaw (knee) will not play in game 1 vs. the Kings.

Shaw skated for the first time since sustaining a right-leg injury against the Minnesota Wild in Game 1 of the second-round series. Asked if Shaw could return sooner rather than later, coach Joel Quenneville said, “it’ll be sooner, but he’s not playing (on Sunday).”

Shaw (lower-body) will not travel with the team to Minnesota for game 3.

Shaw will miss his second straight game after suffering a lower-body injury in game 1. Head coach Joel Quenneville said it is still possible for Shaw to join the team and play in game 4, but he should be considered questionable at this point.

The Blackhawks have sent Teuvo Teravainen down to Rockford (AHL).

Teravainen has only played in three games since arriving to Chicago. He has not recorded a point, only four shots and one hit. Sending him to the AHL will give him a chance to play a bunch on minutes and get more acclimated with the North American game. There's no doubting this kid's talent, but he won't improve by sitting in the press box every night. He is a top prospect, with a very bright future ahead of him.

Khudobin will start on Thursday.

Khudobin allowed two goals on 22 shots in a loss to the Devils on Saturday. He was given Tuesday night off, but will make his 35th appearance of the season tonight. He has been great this year, posting a 2.14 GAA and .931 SV% on a team who ranked 22nd in shots against this season. His 18-13-1 record becomes all the more impressive when you see Carolina is also 22nd in goals for and that the other netminders have combined for a 16-21-10 record.
