Teravainen is expected to be back in the Blackhawks lineup on Sunday.

Teravainen was a healthy scratch on Friday, but head coach Joel Quenneville wants to shake his lineup up on Sunday, which means Teravainen in and Bryan Bickell likely out. Teravainen was centring the second line with Antoine Vermette and Brandon Saad as well as playing on the Hawks second power-play unit.

Khudobin has been struggling mightily as of late—he has lost his last five starts while recording a 4.55 GAA and .829 SV%. Tonight will be his third start against the Capitals; he has gone 0-1-1 with a 2.96 GAA and .910 SV% in the first two.

The Blackhawks have reportedly recalled Teuvo Teravainen from Rockford (AHL).

After losing Patrick Kane for what could be the remainder of the season, the Hawks made their first move to try and replace that hole, by recalling Teravainen. The 20-year-old has two goals and two assists in 15 games with the Blackhawks this season. While in Rockford, he has 25 points (6G / 19A) in 39 games.

The Blackhawks have reassigned Teuvo Teravainen to Rockford (AHL).

With Kris Versteeg back in the lineup, Teravainen was a healthy scratch on Wednesday. The 20-year-old had two goals and two assists in 15 games during his recall. He returns to the AHL where he has tallied six goals and 17 assists (23 points) in 33 games.

Martinez is day-to-day with concussion-like symptoms.

Martinez was crunched by Cedric Paquette on Saturday. Coach Sutter said the Kings have to be “careful and cautious” which would dictate that Martinez will not be in the lineup on Monday vs. the Blue Jackets. With Martinez likely out, expect Brayden McNabb to be back in the lineup.

Khudobin was pulled after giving up two goals on three shots in the Hurricanes shootout loss to the Blues last Friday. It was a rough outing for Khudobin, who was riding a three-game winning streak entering Friday. He will get a chance to bounce-back, but it won’t be easy as he gets set to take on the Ducks in Anaheim.

Khudobin stopped 28 of 30 shots in the Hurricanes 4-2 win over the Lightning on Tuesday. Khudobin has grabbed the number-1 job and run with it. He has won six consecutive starts with a 1.44 GAA and .946 SV%. Despite his recent run, he draws a terrible matchup against a Blues team who are 7-0-1 in their last eight.
