Holm's NHL stay lasted a total of one day as he dressed and backed up David Rittich on Tuesday. Holm will head back to Manitoba where he was having an impressive season with a 7-3-2 record, 2.55 GAA, and .923 SV%. He will have to wait for his next call-up to make his NHL debut.
Cogliano left Monday's game vs. the Islanders after just 10:14 TOI due to an undisclosed injury. The 35-year-old will miss the next two games and then be re-evaluated so he could be out for some time. He has four goals, three assists, 43 SOG and a +6 plus/minus through 30 games this season.

Ranta had three goals, three assists and eight PIMs across 14 games with the Colorado Eagles prior to his promotion to the Avalanche Wednesday. Ranta failed to pick up a point in his previous five-games with the Avalanche and will hope for a call-up again soon to pick up his first career point in 15 GP when he does make his way back into the lineup.
