Aston-Reese was acquired from the Penguins as a part of the Rickard Rakell trade on Monday and will jump right into the Ducks lineup on Wednesday. He is expected to replace Daniel O'Regan in the lineup and skate on the fourth line.
The Devils have placed Christian Jaros on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract.
Jaros was traded to the Devils in July and has appeared in just 11 games with the Devils this season. Jaros cleared regular waivers on Monday and was going to be sent to the AHL.
