Nichushkin was back in the Stars lineup on Tuesday but played just 7:42 TOI and will come back out of the lineup on Thursday.

Tonight he faces a Kings team that has played very well on their current road-trip, going 3-1-1 while averaging 3.40 goals for per game.

Nichushkin has been a healthy scratch for the last three games but will replace Dennis Gurianov on Tuesday. Nichushkin has been disappointing since returning from the KHL, failing to score a goal with seven assists in 39 games.

Wood was forced to leave Thursday’s game vs. the Islanders and will not play Saturday vs. the Wild. Wood, who will be replaced by Joey Anderson, is listed as day-to-day.

Copley has struggled over the course of the last month, allowing a combined 15 goals on the last 94 shots (.840 SV%) that he has faced. In his first start against Colorado this season, Copley stopped 24 of 26 shots in a 3-2 overtime win (Nov.16).

Heinen was a healthy scratch for the last two games but will replace David Backes on the Bruins third line on Wednesday. It has been a tough season for Heinen, who has six goals and seven assists (13 points) in 49 games this season.

Jaros missed Monday’s practice and is expected to miss all three games this week. The Senators left a slight chance that he could play this week but will likely have to recall a defenseman before heading to Toronto for Wednesday’s game.

Nichushkin has been in the lineup for the last two games but will be replaced by Jason Dickinson, who returns from a lower-body injury.

The Capitals backup has appeared in 19 games this season, going 10-5-3 while ranking 33rd in GAA (2.98) and SV% (.903). Copley has been a fine backup for Braden Holtby and will likely continue to start 30 percent of the Capitals games moving forward.

Nichushkin has been a healthy scratch for the last three games but will replace Jason Dickinson in the lineup on Friday. Nichushkin, who is expected to skate with Jason Spezza and Andrew Cogliano, has seven assists but no goals on 51 shots in 37 games this season.

Nichushkin will be scratched for the third straight game despite skating on the fourth line on Tuesday. Denis Gurianov was called up on Wednesday morning and draw into the lineup, leaving Nichushkin on the sidelines again.

Wood missed the Devils last two games before their bye week but is expected to play Monday in Pittsburgh. Wood, who has 16 points (5G / 11A) in 45 games, is expected to skate on the second line with Travis Zajac and Kyle Palmieri.

Wood’s move to IR is retroactive to January 14th, which means he is eligible to return to the Devils’ lineup in the first game after their bye week.

Nichushkin will not play Thursday due to an “upper-body tweak” so Brett Ritchie will draw into the Stars lineup vs. the Kings. Nichushkin’s return to the NHL has not gone very well—he has no goals and seven assists in 37 games.

Copley stopped 10 of 11 shots after replacing a banged up Braden Holtby in the Capitals 2-1 overtime loss to the Blue Jackets on Saturday. With a back-to-back on Monday/Tuesday, Copley will give Holtby another day to recover by starting tonight vs. the Blues. The 26-year-old has gone 3-0-2 with a 2.28 GAA and .924 SV% on home-ice.
